Detailed description of Oyster Bay Town Golf Course & Clubhouse
Oyster Bay Town Golf Course is an 18-hole public golf course located in Woodbury, NY.
Oyster Bay Town Golf Course first opened for play in 1987. The course was designed by Tom Fazio.
The course is situated on 121 acres. The course's 18-hole, par 70, championship golf course features narrow fairways, water holes, and sand and grass bunkers.
The facility also has a driving range and a putting green. A turn-of-the-century mansion clubhouse offers locker rooms, a snack bar, a fully equipped pro shop and two restaurants, Woodlands Restaurant & Catering - 516-921-5707. The course also has its own Pro Shop and golf professional - 516-682-4PRO (4776). To contact the "Starter", just call (516) 677-5977 or 677-5978 and for Tee-Time Reservations - (516) 677-5961. The course is open mid-March through mid-December, weather permitting, closed on Mondays. If a holiday falls on a Monday, the course will be open on Monday and closed on Tuesday.

This is a tough test. It is not long but plays longer than the markers indicate. Holes 11 and 15 have Scottish-style greenside bunkers-very deep. Greens are deceptive and generally slow-yesterday they were a little faster.

Short course but front nine is very tight. Easy to lose balls on front. Greens a little slow and bumpy.

Pace of play can be exceptionally slow at times. Moderate length, mix of tight and open holes, some exceptional shot values on approach shots, greens would be very testing if a bit more speed.
